Enjoy! Specials, Holiday Music, Hot Drinks, Cookies and Taste Testings of your favorite foods.
If you look hard enough I am sure you will get a glimpse of Old Santa.
While the majority of events and activities are in the downtown area, we wish to remind you that all sections of our Community are involved in the Old Time Christmas Shop Hop and we urge you to visit the many shops and businesses throughout Grant County!

Purchase your “Special Holiday Gifts” for family and friends at our Winterfest Craft Show scheduled for December 4, 2010. Craft Vendors from all over the region will be on hand to sell a variety of products from handcrafted wooden items and painted slates to loom woven rugs and baked goods, the choices are endless. Enjoy browsing the booths in a holiday atmosphere. Sign up for FREE “Make and Take” Craft Classes with Nationally known instructors in quilting, stained glass and basketry. Have brunch/lunch at the Cedar Lakes Concession located in the Vocational Building or better yet save yourself time during this busy Holiday Season and purchase homemade pumpkin rolls and pepperoni rolls for your upcoming party or event.

“SNOWFLAKE EXPRESS TRAIN RIDE WITH SANTA”
Make plans now to kick off the Christmas Season and enjoy a chance to meet and have a picture taken with Santa as The South Side Depot in Petersburg, West
Virginia, is hosting the “Snowflake Express”.
The unique holiday railroad experience, sponsored in part by Allegheny Power, is open to Children Of All Ages.
Passengers on the "Snowflake Express Train Ride With Santa” will enjoy the Fireworks and Christmas Lights at Welton Park, hear Christmas carols sung on the train by the Petersburg High School Chorus and get a chance to chat with Santa himself , Mrs. Claus and the Elves.
We can't think of a better way to bring in the holiday season than to have a visit from Santa and to ride on the South Side Express Vintage Passenger Train Cars.
While waiting on the train passengers will get a chance to enjoy music by the chorus and be served cookies and hot chocolate by Santa’s Elf’s.
There will be four departure times for the Snowflake Express with Santa; 5pm, 6:30pm, 8pm and 9:30pm.
While waiting to depart on the “Snowflake Express”, shop South Side Depot and experience an “Old Fashioned West Virginia Christmas”.
