Pet Valu's 8th Annual Calendar Casting Call 6/6/19 to 6/30/19
From June 6-30, Pet Valu is hosting its 8th annual Calendar Casting Call for its pet calendar. One winning pet photo will be featured on the front cover of the 2020 Pet Valu benefit calendar, while 12 other winning snapshots will be featured as honorary “Pets of the Month” inside the calendar. Winners will also host their own “Pawtograph” calendar signing event at their local Pet Valu store in November when the calendar is released. All proceeds will go directly to local organizations preventing animal cruelty in communities where stores are located. US MILITARY & VETERANS COMMEMORATION DAY 6/29/19 to 6/29/19
West Virginia Mobile Vietnam Wall (will be illuminated overnight)
The wall includes the names of West Virginians who were KIA, held as POW, and those still MIA.
This list includes over 732 names of true heroes that gave their lives in the Vietnam War for their country and this proud State. The “Modern Wall” (1975-2017) includes fallen West Virginia soldiers from other wars.
In addition a panel for the Korean War will be displayed. A new panel “At War in the Middle East” will be dedicated this year.

14th Annual Wreath Laying Ceremony
Honoring our current military and veterans. Remembering those who are no longer with us.
1:00 pm at the WV Mobile Vietnam Wall - Rowlesburg Park
Presenting of the Colors, 21 Gun Salute & Taps by the Preston County Honor Guard
Going Home - Fallen Soldier by Don Walters, Bagpipes.
The WV Patriot Guard Riders will form a Flag Line for the ceremony.

The West Virginia National Guard History
Visit this educational display and program tracing the Guard’s heritage to 1735

Bobby Menear’s Maestros of Swing (Big Band)
