Twin Falls Resort State Park May 4, 2013
On Saturday, May 4, 2013 is the annual Bike the park day. This event is for anyone who likes to ride mountain bikes and/or wants to learn more about mountain biking. This is a day of fun rides! You can meet other riders, learn new skills, and, of course, ride and have fun. All skill levels are welcome and beginners are encouraged to attend. Rides are scheduled that will enable you to ride at your own pace. The skills clinics provide opportunities for improving riding skills and may be the highlight of your participation. If you like to ride the trails and have fun, Bike the Park Day is for you. There is no cost for this event and riders should bring their own lunch. Registration begins at 10:00 am at Far end of Ballfield.

Join us Saturday, May 11, 2013 for opening day of “for the kids, by George”, West Virginia’s newest children’s museum, from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Events are held at the historic Martinsburg Roundhouse in downtown Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $7.50 for kids, and $1 for children ages 1-5 and includes brunch, a walking tour of the museum, and free museum admission at a later date. Tickets can be bought at http://4thekids.ticketleap.com/dedication/. Doors open at 9:30am.
The ceremony kicks off with brunch and opening statements at 9:30am, followed by entertainment, plaque dedication and ribbon cutting ceremonies. Attendees will get a sneak peek of for the kids, by George with preview tours beginning at noon. Tours will end at 5pm.
Opening on National Train Day, for the kids, by George Children's Museum explores 300+ years of West Virginia history, including George Washington, Lewis & Clark and railway culture.
The museum features a lifelike statue of a young George Washington paddling a canoe, Projection Theater and 3-D map, train models, artifacts, a LEGO model of 1920s-era streetscape, and the 3-D bike simulation theater, where children power up their bike generator to watch a video of the scenic views of the Washington Heritage Trail.
